They Couldn’t Afford Baby Milk, And Their Solution Killed The Baby.
Doctors recommend breast milk as the best food source for babies. Pumped with powerful and rich nutrients like vitamins, proteins, and the good fats to grow babies strong and healthy, infants need nothing else. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends babies are breastfed at least until six months old, ideally 12 months along with solids.
Still, there are many reasons why women can’t always breastfeed such as not producing enough milk, being ill, and going back to work. Therefore, using formula is the next best thing. Nonetheless, a mistrust of doctors and lack of education can sometimes lead adults to make irresponsible decisions when it comes to caring for their children.
Lauren Heather Fristed, 25, and Herbert George Landell, 26, welcomed their daughter Nevaeh Marie Landell into the world.
Fristed was not producing enough milk. Consequently, they began to water down the milk produced with water.
